Create What Comes Next
Roshell Alexander,
Ph.D., LPC, NCC, CCTP, ACS, RYT-200
Finding a therapist you can genuinely connect with matters. You deserve a space where you can show up as you are, talk openly about what you’re experiencing, and feel seen, heard, and understood without judgment. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, difficult family dynamics, life transitions, or patterns that continue to leave you feeling stuck, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Dr. Roshell Alexander is a Licensed Professional Counselor serving clients in Georgia, Florida, and Colorado and the founder of YESTINY Counseling and Wellness Services. Her approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, culturally responsive, and intentional. Rather than simply telling you what you “should” do, Dr. Roshell helps you slow down, understand yourself more deeply, recognize the patterns influencing your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and choices, and explore ways of responding that are more aligned with who you are and how you want to live.
Therapy That Helps You Understand the Why
Sometimes you already know the pattern. You know you’re overthinking. You know the boundary you want to set. You know the relationship isn’t functioning the way you want it to. You know you’re carrying experiences from your past into your present. Yet knowing doesn’t always make changing the pattern easier.
That’s where the work can begin.
In therapy, Dr. Roshell helps clients explore what’s beneath the surface, not simply what is happening, but why it may be happening and what they want to do differently moving forward. Your work together may include strengthening communication, developing healthier boundaries, navigating difficult emotions, increasing self-trust, processing past experiences, improving relationships, and becoming more intentional about the choices you make for yourself.
Dr. Roshell works with individuals and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, relationship distress, premarital concerns, boundaries, inner-child work, family distress, life transitions, self-esteem, and self-worth.
Dr. Roshell earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida A&M University, her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University, and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with a specialization in Couples, Marital, and Family Counseling from Barry University.
Her professional journey began in Washington, D.C., where she worked alongside a psychologist serving a diverse clientele that included high-profile professionals, lawmakers, political figures, and professional athletes. Her experiences throughout her career strengthened her belief that regardless of what someone's life looks like from the outside, everyone deserves a place where they can be human, put down what they’ve been carrying, and receive meaningful support.
At YESTINY, you don’t have to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on. You can begin where you are. If you’re ready to understand yourself differently, change patterns that are keeping you stuck, and intentionally create what comes next, Dr. Roshell is here to help you begin.Credentials
